It's snowing in Tokyo- Japanese home cooking class in Tokyo
Due to strong cold air today (February 8, 2026), more than 3 cm of snow has been observed even in central Tokyo. It’s a rare chance to enjoy a snowy landscape here in the city, so today I’d like to introduce my neighborhood.
Snow in Tokyo is quite rare — the annual average snowfall is only about 8 cm, one of the lowest in Japan. On average, snowfall is recorded on about 8.5 days per year, and in the central area, it usually accumulates just once or twice a year at most. Here’s a glimpse of the beautiful snowy scenery in Tokyo today!
